More Inward Investment In Stoke-on-Trent

The site of a vacant furniture store on Stoke-on-Trent is to be transformed into new homes and apartments after the plans were approved.

A total of 12 houses and ten apartments are to be constructed on the former Gilberts site in Shelton New Road.

Urban Generation was behind the application which has now been approved by Stoke-on-Trent City Council.

A document submitted to the authority on behalf of the applicant said: "This brownfield site has long remained vacant and is currently of poor condition and quality.

"The aim of the proposed development is to redevelop a brownfield site and create a small community which is sustainable and a desirable place to live."
